The month of May is full of events dedicated to celebrating Mental Health Awareness.

Author Eileen Robertson Hamra’s national book tour, “Time to Fly,” is no exception. She will be stopping in Los Angeles on May 7th at The Dream Factory LA Studio, from 12pm to 3pm, discussing her journey of healing and resilience with co-host, Princess Sarah Culberson, of Sierra Leone.

Hamra wrote her book, “Time to Fly” after grieving the sudden loss of her husband at the age of 41. Left to raise her three kids alone, Hamra had two choices, succumb to her pain, or rise up and write a new story for her future.

“Loss is a part of life. No matter how tragic, there is always an opportunity to learn and grow,” Hamra said.

The holistic nutritionist and life coach now dedicates her time to empowering others with the same motivation that has allowed her to thrive again.

“Southern California was the last place the kids and I lived with Brian before he was killed in the plane crash. Coming back ‘home’ brings back memories of those that supported us when he passed. In one sense, it is our “gratitude” stop on the book tour,” Hamra explained.

Hamra hopes to help others realize that there is life and love still available even after unimaginable pain.
