Deep Cleansing in Your Skin Care Routine

Good healthy skin relies on clean hygiene.

You wear makeup but you may not be as diligent in cleansing all of the remaining oil, dirt and impurities from the buildup on your face skin. It’s exactly at these times of negligence that causes breakouts, skin dryness and other skin problems.

But silky smooth skin goes beyond knowing the importance of cleansing. It requires action. For some reason in life, whenever a routine is only 5-10mins long, it seems like it’s the hardest to maintain.

But, let’s talk about what deep cleansing is.

First, the normal and basic cleansing that we all do, regularly removes leftover makeup, waste and sebum from the exterior of you face but it does not remove the dead skin layer (keratin).

Make sure you don’t deep cleanse more than once per week.

Which Cleansing Product for Your Skin

The first step for a proper cleansing is to choose right products for you. Depending on your skin type and the amount of makeup level, your product choice will differ.

Dry skin and high makeup level: cream type cleansing products are recommended.

Oily skin or no makeup: liquid or tissue type cleansing products should work well.

Sensitive skin or acne skin: oil free water based cleansing products or cleansing tissues are recommended.

Even when you do not wear makeup, if you were out and came back home, you should still cleanse your face before washing in order to remove wastes and to maintain Face skin mask clean skin. When massaging your face with cleansing product, do not massage aggressively or massage too long. This may allow makeup leftovers and wastes attached to cleansing material to enter your pores back again. 2-3 minutes should be sufficient with gentle massage. Each pack type has different effects. To remove keratin and reduce sebum that makes your skin extra shiny, use cleansing packs. If you have excessive oil, peel off type is recommended. Wash off type has rich nutrition and less irritation so it’s good for dry skin. Sheet type facial mask is recommend for all skin types as it contains high concentration of nutrition, moisture and provides cleansing, soothing, calming and hydrating effects to your skin. 2 times a week is the best for all skin types. Alternatively, homemade facial packs can improve your skin condition.

Tips: If your skin is very dry, apply enough toner and moisturizer before applying packs. Facial mask sheets can be directly applied without toner or moisturizer because they themselves function as intense moisturizer.

Massage

Massage promotes blood circulation and metabolism. If your skin lost vitality and looks dull, massage can recover your skin shortly after. After using a facial mask sheet, you can gently pat or press your face using remaining essence on your face. Do not vigorously rub your face as it can contribute to fine lines and wrinkles.
