France Rally to Overcome Australia Football 2-1

Despite Football  having the upper hand in the first half, France fought back to beat Australia 2-1 in a friendly at Stade de France on Friday. Olivier Giroud scored his first goal of the match, edging out Thierry Henry for the record of most goals in a single match for France. This was also France’s fourth victory in five matches, as they beat Australia for the first time since 2003.

Thierry Henry’s record

Thierry Henry is one of the best strikers in the history of French football. He has scored a record 51 goals for France in 14 years, and has been at the top of the all-time list for a number of years. Thierry Henry has played in three World Cups and has won the Golden Shoe as Europe’s top association football goal scorer in 2003.

Thierry Henry joined Arsenal in 1999 and scored 174 goals for the club over eight seasons. He helped the team win two Premier League titles and two FA Cups. He was also named to the UEFA Euro 2000 and FIFA Confederations Cup Teams of the Tournament. Thierry Henry retired from international football after the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Henry stepped down as coach of the Belgian national team in 2021. He joined MLS club New York Red Bulls in 2010 and played for them for two months before returning to Arsenal on loan.

Giroud’s first goal

Defending champions France overcame Australia as Olivier Giroud and Kylian Mbappe scored twice to give France a 3-1 victory. Giroud’s first goal matched Thierry Henry’s record for goals scored in the France team, while Mbappe’s free kick was the winner.

Australia had an early lead when Craig Goodwin scored in the ninth minute. France had to recover from that and score twice in the first half before Australia pulled a goal back. But the visitors regained their lead after half-time through Rabiot and Mbappe.

Kylian Mbappe is one of the most impressive players in the tournament. He had a solid first half. He moved more centrally and drifted into the box, trying to get the ball to Giroud. But he was denied a clear shot by a defender.

France’s second goal came after Rabiot had played a brilliant cross for Mbappe. The youngster drifted inside for the cross and then tapped home.

Kylian Mbappe’s favorite costume

During France’s 2-1 victory over Australia on Saturday, Kylian Mbappe scored the most goals for France in a qualifying match since 1958. He also did the simplest of tasks, namely, scoring a goal.

He also put his name on the score sheet, which is something that a lot of players have to do these days.

Mbappe’s first goal came in the second half, a curling cross from Ousmane Dembele that gave him his first World Cup goal. His second came with two minutes left, a shot from inside the area. This was the most memorable goal of the evening, especially for France.

Mbappe has been in impressive form for PSG this season. He has scored 19 goals in 20 matches so far. He has a three-year contract extension with the club.

He has also teamed up with Dior to become a brand ambassador. He has worn Dior tuxedos at the Ballon d’Or awards, and will be modelling Dior men’s fashions in the near future. His outfit also has a special meaning for him, as he sponsors the Premiers de Cordee association, which promotes sporting activities for hospitalized children.

France’s attitude towards the Socceroos

Despite Australia’s draw with France, the Socceroos have an opportunity to make the round of 16. Australia’s 1-0 defeat against France in the opening game of the World Cup has been seen as a good result, but they must now win to progress to the round of 16.

With only eight players in the Australian squad, it’s not clear whether the Socceroos will start with a five-man defence or four. Regardless, they’ll be reliant Football  on veteran goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.

France, on the other hand, have a formidable line up and they’ll be happy to see Denmark collapse against Tunisia. The Socceroos’ defence was under pressure early on but they’re also vulnerable to set pieces in recent years.

Australia started with a positive attitude. Craig Goodwin gave Australia an early lead but France quickly roared back with two quick goals. Olivier Giroud scored twice while Adrien Rabiot levelled.

Australia sat deep in the second half, trying to counter-attack. It looked like the team was ready to fight for each other. But it didn’t last long. After failing to take advantage of a free kick, France scored a goal through a poor pass through the defence.
