News today palestinian officials claim that four Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces during a covert operation in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

According to the Israeli military, troops killed two terrorists sought for “terrorist acts” as well as a guy attempting to use a crowbar to harm them. Gunmen also fired back at them, it continued.

According to the Palestinian health ministry, a 16-year-old kid was among the fatalities.

Twenty more Palestinians were shot, four of whom were critically hurt.

Since the beginning of the year, Israeli raids in the West Bank have gotten more lethal, killing both gunmen and civilians while a wave of deadly Palestinian attacks against Israelis has continued.

Israeli troops have killed more than 80 Palestinians, including terrorists and civilians. On the Israeli side, 13 persons, all civilians with the exception of a paramilitary police officer, have been murdered in Palestinian attacks.

In the Jenin operation on Thursday, daytime entry into the city center was made by special troops from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Shin Bet security service, and Border Police.

According to a witness, they came in two automobiles and stopped in the middle of the road.

According to Ahmed Khalaf, a member of the group shot Nidal Khazem in the head when they opened the doors.

He continued, “The other man, our brother Youssef Shreim from [Hamas’s military arm, the Izzedine] al-Qassam Brigades, tried to flee away. “The special forces pursued him and began firing indiscriminately throughout the street.”

“A 16-year-old teen was slain. He wasn’t participating in anything. He was a family employee.”

A man was shot in the head at close range while lying on the ground, appearing to be already dead or severely injured, according to a video from the site.

A throng is shown in another video hurling rocks at an Israeli military vehicle. Afterwards, there are many shots fired, and the throng flees.

Khazem and Shreim, two prominent members of the militant organizations Islamic Jihad and Hamas, were verified to have passed away by the Palestinian Ministry of Health. It also named the fourth victim, 37-year-old Luay al-Zughair, and the adolescent as Omar Awadin.

The IDF claimed that the raid’s targets were Youssef Abu Ashrin and Khazem, two more wanted militants. If the latter was Youssef Shreim, it was unclear.

Khazem was accused of engaging in “major terrorist action,” and Abu Ashrin was accused of making explosives and firing at Israeli forces.

A representative for Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority, denounced the “brutal murder” of four Palestinians.

Nabil Abu Rudeineh claimed that Israel’s ongoing aggressive tactics prove that it has no interest in controlling the situation or averting its explosion.

Both Islamic Jihad and Hamas, which rule over the Gaza Strip, declared that Israel would “pay the price” for the killings, calling them “crimes” that would not go unpunished.

Days before negotiations between representatives from Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Egypt, Jordan, and the US are scheduled to take place in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh with the goal of defusing tensions ahead of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, the raid has taken place.
