Trimming your nails if they are too long or cleaning them if they are dirty should also be done.
Cleaning them every day
You should also clean them every day with lukewarm water. You can dip your feet in a tub full of lukewarm water every day to clean them well. It is advisable to avoid soaking them for too long as that could make your feet dry by losing their moisture.
Another thing that you should be doing is moisturizing your feet every day either with cream or even with something like petroleum jelly. It is better not to apply any moisturizer between the toes to prevent any infections. If your toenails are damaged in some way, avoid using nail polish and let them be for a while.
When wearing shoes
When wearing shoes, keep in mind to avoid tight-fitting shoes. You can also use shoe inserts that would help you protect your feet. After all, the primary aim of wearing shoes is to protect your feet, isn’t it? It is advisable not to wear the same pair of shoes every single day and to rotate the shoes you are wearing. Also, it is recommended not to share any pair of shoes with someone else. Also, make sure that your shoes fit you and are not too small or too big for you.
Certain other things to consider
Apart from these, you can also try certain yoga poses that would help to increase the blood circulation to your feet such as the ‘leg up the wall pose. Going for a foot massage every now and then is also highly recommended.
Rolling a tennis ball under your feet can also help immensely to give a bread foot massage to your feet and help them relax and breathe a little bit. It is extremely important that we give them the rest they require as they have to carry our weight here and there every day.
