Gilad Zilberman, CEO at SeatPick commented:

“This upcoming game is set to be quite the challenge, especially considering the previous encounter between these two teams ended in a draw back in February (1-1). With both Manchester City and Chelsea eager to secure a win, the intensity is guaranteed.

Manchester City has once again achieved a remarkable milestone, becoming the first team in FA Cup history to reach the semi-finals for six consecutive seasons. The likelihood of winning the whole tournament increases with each successful FA Cup match, especially with the skills of Erling Haaland, the Premier League’s top goal scorer, in their ranks.

However, Chelsea is currently riding a wave of momentum, demonstrated by their recent wins against Newcastle United and Leicester. Notably, Cole Palmer’s contributions have proven invaluable, establishing him as a weapon for Chelsea. With a youthful and driven squad, they present themselves as a challenge in the semi-finals.”

Coventry VS Manchester United is the least affordable match of the FA Cup semi-finals. Coventry secured a 3-2 win against Wolves in the quarter final, with Wright scoring the winning goal in added time. Manchester United scored a 121st minute goal to complete an astonishing 4-3 win over Liverpool in the quarter final, pushing both teams through to the semi-finals.

The eagerly anticipated match also takes place at Wembley on the 21st of April, and fans can expect to pay an average total cost of £781. This is more than double the total cost of the Man City VS Chelsea match (£354). The semi-final has 984 available tickets left for fans to grab, but these come with the highest average resale ticket price at £453. The starting price for resale tickets are £225, making the match almost four times more expensive for Coventry and Man United fans than Chelsea and Man City fans (£65).

Although the average price for train tickets for Coventry fans on the day is the second most affordable at £42.88 — with just over a 2 hour train journey — Manchester United fans have more than a 3 hour journey which will cost them £59.80 on average. This is 84% more expensive for Manchester fans than Chelsea’s supporters.

Gilad Zilberman, CEO at SeatPick commented:

“The upcoming semi-final between Coventry and Manchester United promises to be an exciting match. Manchester United arrives with an impressive track record, having clinched victory in the last four FA Cup matches, displaying an unbeatable streak. Their quarter-final clash against Liverpool ended in a crucial goal in the 121st minute propelling the Red Devils into the next round.

In contrast, Coventry’s history boasts a single major trophy, the FA Cup triumph of 1987. Despite being labelled as underdogs, Coventry exudes confidence, Coventry is in good form as they’ve never been beaten at Wembley stadium and have won against Manchester United in their past meeting.

Yet, it’s undeniable that Coventry lacks the extensive ‘big game’ experiences that Manchester United have under the belt, a team widely regarded as possessing skill across the team.”
