It’s time to say goodbye to the 2024 Olympics — and prepare to usher in another.
The Paris Games closing ceremony is being held at Stade de France on Sunday, Aug. 11, and will reunite the thousands of athletes who competed throughout 16 days of incredible victories and devastating losses.
While Team USA will be present (again, clad in Ralph Lauren), so will some of America’s biggest stars, set to celebrate the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.
H.E.R. will be singing the U.S. national anthem as part of the LA28 handover, while Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise will be performing a skydiving stunt in a pre-recorded segment.
Follow along, live, as PEOPLE covers the closing ceremony from Paris.
