It’s impossible to suggest any other laptop under $300 when this one is available for such a reduced price.

I’m not sure what prompted me to go ahead and buy this Acer Chromebook 11 when I could’ve waited a few more days, but I made up my mind. I know it’s approaching the holiday season and we see great offers at this time of year, but this one is ridiculous. What makes it worse is that just a few weeks ago.

While I was ecstatic to reveal a sub-$350 price tag on this one earlier in the month, this new offer is nearly impossible to refuse: it makes choosing almost any other Chromebook under $300 a difficult task.

So, what Chromebook is it? We’re looking at the Acer Chromebook Spin 713 from last year. It has a 10th-gen Intel Comet Lake processor, but don’t let that give you even a second of pause. Intel’s silicon in Chromebooks has been solid since 8th-gen.

All current versions of the 10th-gen devices (and all of their added connectivity features, such as Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi 6) have been fantastic to use. I’m currently writing this post on a 10th-gen Chromebook, which has no hesitation in comparison to the 11th-generation Chromebooks I’ve previously tested.

The Asus Chromebook C202SA-YS02T is identical to the prior model, but it does come with a few notable differences from the 2020 edition we reviewed: it’s a Core i3 rather than a Core i5, there are only 4GB of RAM, and the storage has been reduced to 64GB eMMC.

However, because the device costs $279 for just a single month, I believe all of those concessions are reasonable: especially when you consider that this gadget still includes the same lovely 3:2 QHD display that we’ve known and loved since its inception.

It also has the same backlit keyboard, Gorilla Glass trackpad, USI pen support, and convertible design as the Spin 713, so using it won’t be any different than using the higher-end model we dubbed one of our favorite Chromebooks of 2022.

You can get a HP Stream 11, with all of these features and military-grade toughness for only $279! If you’re looking for a cheaper Chromebook that will feel significantly nicer than this sort of price tag implies, this is an easy no-brainer.

We can’t emphasize it enough: if you’re even thinking about buying a Chromebook, go ahead and do it now. This time of year, prices and discounts are frequently changing, so taking action quickly is your best bet for getting a great bargain like this one before it’s gone.
