Neal Bledsoe Exits Great American Family After Candace Cameron Bure’s “Traditional Marriage” Comments
In the wake of Great American Family’s Candace Cameron Bure’s controversial comments about the network’s stance on marriage, one of the network’s actors has spoken out against her.

Candace Cameron Bure’s inflammatory comments about “traditional marriage” continue to spark outrage.

Neal Bledsoe, who starred 2021’s The Winter Palace and this year’s Christmas at the Drive-In for Great American Family, spoke out against the actress—who is also the network’s chief creative officer—in a Dec. 5. statement to Variety.

“As an artist, I yearn to be proud of the work I create,” Bledsoe said. “But, the thought that my work could be used to deliberately discriminate against anyone horrifies and infuriates me. I hope GAF will change, but until everyone can be represented in their films with pride, my choice is clear. I look forward to working with creators who put no limits on the stories we tell and follow through on their message of values with open arms.”

The actor, who has also appeared on shows like Ugly Betty and Shameless, said that personal, long-lasting relationships with those from the queer community made it impossible for him not to say something.

“My life wouldn’t be where it is today without the love, support, and guidance of the LGBTQIA+ community,” he explained. “From my mentors in college, to the myriad of agents and managers, writers and directors, teachers and colleagues, and, of course, my dear friends and family, who have all touched my life, I owe them a great debt.”

In a Nov. 14 interview with the Wall Street Journal, Cameron Bure said the Great American Network would strive to “keep traditional marriage at the core.”

The comments were met with wide criticism from many across the entertainment spectrum, including JoJo Siwa, Hilarie Burton, Jonathan Bennett and even Cameron Bure’s former Full House co-star Jodie Sweetin.

On Nov. 16, Cameron Bure responded to the backlash in an Instagram post, writing, “I have great love and affection for all people,” she wrote. “It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone.”

She further explained, “I had also expressed in my interview, which was not included, that people of all ethnicities and identities have and will continue to contribute to the network in great ways both in front of and behind the camera, which I encourage and fully support.”

In addition to his statement, Bledsoe shared that he had donated to True Colors United, an organization focused on the LGBTQ+ youth homeless population.

“If these words have any resonance with you,” he urged, “I hope you will join me.”

When reached by E! News, reps for Cameron Bure had no comment. Reps for Great American Family have not responded to E!’s request.

Kirstie Alley’s Ex-Husband Parker Stevenson Pays Tribute After Her Death
Kirstie Alley’s ex Parker Stevenson—who was married to her for 15 years before splitting in 1997—shared a message following the actress’ death, saying he was “grateful” for their years together.

Look who’s showing love.

Following news of Kirstie Alley’s death, Parker Stevenson paid tribute to his ex-wife, who he was married to for 15 years.

“Dear Kirstie, I am so grateful for our years together,” the actor—who shares kids True, 30, and Lillie, 27—wrote on Instagram Dec. 6, “and for the two incredibly beautiful children and now grandchildren that we have. “You will be missed. With love, Parker.”

Along with the message, the actor shared a throwback pic of the former couple attending the premiere of the movie Shoot to Kill in 1988.

Their children were the ones to announce the devastating news that their mom had died at the age of 71. Her rep later shared that Kirstie was battling colon cancer.

“She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead,” her kids shared on social media. “As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.”

Several of Kirstie’s co-stars from over the years reflected on their memories of the Emmy winner, including Cheers star Ted Danson, who said the star had a “heart of gold.”

“I was on a plane today and did something I rarely do. I watched an old episode of Cheers,” he said in a statement to E! News. “It was the episode where Tom Berenger proposes to Kirstie, who keeps saying no, even though she desperately wants to say yes. Kirstie was truly brilliant in it. Her ability to play a woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown was both moving and hysterically funny.”

The actor continued, “She made me laugh 30 years ago when she shot that scene, and she made me laugh today just as hard. As I got off the plane, I heard that Kirstie had died. I am so sad and so grateful for all the times she made me laugh. I send my love to her children. I will miss her.”

For his part, John Travolta looked back on their longstanding friendship. “Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had,” her Look Who’s Talking co-star said. “I love you Kirstie. I know we will see each other again.” (Read more touching tributes here.)

Christina Haack and Ant Anstead Reach Custody Agreement Over Son Hudson
HGTV star Christina Haack and her ex-husband Ant Anstead have settled a custody battle over their 3-year-old son Hudson. Find out what the former couple agreed to.

Christina Haack and Ant Anstead’s custody battle has been resolved.

The HGTV star and the Celebrity IOU: Joyride host have reached an agreement regarding their 3-year-old son Hudson and will not be going to trial, a rep for Christina confirmed to E! News.

According to court documents obtained by E! News, a judge signed off on the exes’ agreement on Nov. 18 to “continue to have joint legal and joint physical custody” of Hudson.

In the documents filed by Christina’s lawyer, but jointly approved by the pair, both reality stars also agreed to a holiday schedule.

When it comes to Christmas, Hudson will be with his father from Dec. 23 through Christmas Day on odd years while Christina will get the same period on even years. Court documents further show that the pattern continues for Easter Sunday, which their son will spend with Ant for even years and Christina on odd years, and vice versa for the 4th of July.

With this agreement, Ant and Christina’s March 2023 trial dates have been

Back in September 2020, the former couple announced their breakup after two years of marriage. “We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority,” Christina wrote on Instagram at the time. “We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family as we navigate the future.”

After the pair’s divorce was finalized in June 2021, Ant moved on with actress Renée Zellweger while Christina—who also shares Taylor, 12, and Brayden, 7, with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa—married Josh Hall in April after dating for a year.

Although Christina recently explained why she won’t be sharing Hudson online, fans will be able to get a glimpse of the designer’s relationship with her husband on the new HGTV series Christina in the Country.

Set to premiere in January 2023, the show will follow Christina as she expands her business outside of Southern California.

“I have fallen in love with Tennessee and it truly has become our home away from home,” she wrote on Instagram Nov. 29. “We are enjoying all the perks of country living—the friendly people, clean air, nature and clear night sky. Having the opportunity to grow my design business both here and in California is a dream come true.”

Christina added, “Co-Producing this show with my husband, @unbrokenjosh, has been so fun and we are very proud of it!”

New Details Revealed on Anne Heche’s Cause of Death and Drugs in Her System
Officials released new details into Anne Heche’s cause of death nearly four months after the actress passed away from inhalation and thermal injuries sustained in a Los Angeles car crash.

Officials have released new details regarding Anne Heche’s death.

According to a Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner report dated Dec. 6 and obtained by E! News, traces of cocaine, cannabinoids (a substance found in cannabis plants) and benzodiazepines (a depressant) were detected in the Men in Tree star’s system in August when she was admitted to a hospital following a car crash.

However, the coroner’s spokesperson clarified that there was no evidence of impairment by illicit substances at the time of the crash.

The cannabinoids were detected in her urine but not her blood sample, which is “consistent with prior use but not at the time of injury,” per the coroner. Meanwhile, a test on her blood sample at the hospital showed the presence of benzoylecgonine, an inactive metabolite of cocaine.

A urine test performed after Heche’s hospitalization also found fentanyl in her system, though the coroner noted in the report that the amount was “consistent with therapeutic use” by the hospital.

Heche tested negative for alcohol, according to the report.

Heche died of inhalation and thermal injuries sustained in an Aug. 5 car crash, with a sternal fracture due to blunt trauma significantly listed as “significant conditions” that contributed to her death. She was pronounced dead at 53 on Aug. 11, after spending days in a coma.

Per the new coroner’s report, Heche’s inhalation injuries caused “changes to the respiratory system that decreases the intake of oxygen needed to sustain life,” resulting in anoxic brain injury.

“Anoxic brain injury (despite the name) is not the result of physical trauma to the body but is an injury due to lack of oxygen,” the coroner wrote. “The sternal fracture she sustained is expected to be painful while breathing when she was in her vehicle, further complicating oxygenation and therefore also significantly contributed to death.”

The coroner determined Heche’s manner of death as an accident.

The Six Days, Seven Nights actress’ body was cremated on Aug. 18, according to a death certificate obtained by E! News, with her final place of burial listed as the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.

Heche is survived by friends and family, including sons Homer Laffoon, 20, and Atlas Tupper, 13.

In a statement to E! News on Aug. 23, Laffoon—who was recently named the permanent administrator of Heche’s estate—said he and his brother chose to bury their mother at the well-known cemetery because it’s “beautiful, serene and she will be among her Hollywood peers.”

“Most importantly, Hollywood Forever is a living place, where people attend movies and concerts and other events,” he continued. “She was our Mom, but the kindness and the outpouring of the past few days reminded us that she also belongs to her fans, to the entertainment community, and now, to the ages.”
