Introduction
There are some special customs for women in China that many people don’t know about. This policy was initiated by One Child Nation in the past. But unlike its investigation, Leftover Women follows three journeys for women. A dramatic shift can be observed among women in China as they begin to navigate the policy response for women. Women in China have been under enormous pressure to have children and marry since the reform of the policy legacy. China is a country where the number of women is high and the number of men is very low. So based on this ratio this special policy on women has been formulated.
China women policy
The One Child Nation and Leftover Women policies depicted had a great impact on China’s fertility. These reproductive effects were able to depict government-controlled experiences. The policies that have been formulated for women in China can easily identify women separately. In these rules, the hairstyle of the girls is determined so that it is easy to understand whether they are married or single. Unmarried girls in China divide their hair into two braids. And those who are divorced or widowed can braid their hair. The one-child policy enshrined in China’s constitution highlights the planning responsibilities of both husbands and wives. Family planning is highly encouraged in the Chinese state, as a result of which the country’s social and economic development plans can be easily adapted.
When the Child and Woman Policy was enacted in China it was further reinforced by harsh punishments and messages. This policy has been very effective due to maintaining China’s background. But in 2015, the Communist Party abolished the one-child policy and allowed all married couples to have up to two children. The effect that women had on childbearing in China ended with the subsequent two-child policy. In Chinese culture, women have to follow many customs. So women marry to join their husband’s families and make themselves take care of their in-laws. So understandably Chinese tradition places more reliance on males to support the parents.
The abortion of women in China was considered a big problem because it was interpreted as a fertility problem. Based on the authority of the Chinese Communist Party, women are forced to have abortions and stop giving birth. Which was considered a harsh punishment for women. One child policy is only able to deal with the population crisis, but it has no application in youth development. Women generally choose to have more than one child, which is prohibited and enforced as a punitive policy in China. However, this strict policy has been modified for women.
Many people now feel that single motherhood is framed against women’s views and may clash with public opinion. In Beijing, reproductive rights are clearly declared, and residents continue to follow this system. The law enacted in China requires a pregnant woman and her husband to register their marriage otherwise they cannot receive any services for pregnant women in government hospitals. But this type of pregnancy created many problems between women and husbands.
Last words
Finally, I would say that in China the most pressure is placed on women on birth control. Since China is overpopulated, such government birth control laws are implemented to control the population rate.
