The United States government just moved a chunk of Bitcoin and Ethereum. It’s stirring the pot. Arkham flagged it Thursday at 17:23 (UTC)—two assets linked to Trump’s US Crypto Reserve were in play.
The wallet shifted 97.3 BTC, worth $8.46 million, splitting it into two addresses. This came from the “Sae-Heng Confiscated Funds,” nabbed with Binance from Wanpadet Sae Heng—a scammer tied to pig butchering schemes.
Two Huge Transfers
The loot included 97.3 BTC, 884.3 ETH, 2.56 million DOGE, and 85 million ADA. Here’s the breakdown: $10 (0.00011516 BTC) hit “bc1qs0q,” and 97.33 BTC ($8.46 million) went to “bc1q7qf.”
Later that day, at 17:43 (UTC), 88.43 ETH ($1.77 million) moved to “0xBf7fb.” This follows a transfer of 299 AVAX two weeks ago, linked to Brain Krewson.
$17 Billion BTC Fortress Stays Put
The U.S. still holds 198,012 BTC—$17.04 billion worth. Bitcoin’s under $87k, but the stash is strong. They’re eyeing growth with “budget-neutral” moves. The Bitcoin Act’s cooking, targeting 1 million BTC in five years. Senator Moreno wants it done by August, though some folks aren’t sold.
The U.S. leads the pack in government-held Bitcoin. China’s second, with Bhutan and El Salvador trailing at 8,971 BTC and 6,129 BTC. The crypto world’s got its eyes peeled.
